Each approach is richly illustrated and accompanied by an entertaining eulogy. The facial expressions of the fish add to the book’s light-heartedness.
One caution...if you buy this book for kids, you might find them plastered to the fish tank just waiting for the fish to die! - Bought for my nephew to prepare for the inevitable. It's a brilliant book that helps kids navigate the loss of their pet fishy through -very- creative burial techniques honoring the deceased. Written with such humor and wit both kids and adults will be smiling. Illustrations and book quality are also top-notch, and each time I flip through I discover another humorous detail in the artwork. My personal fave is the Viking Funeral! Almost tempted to get a fish just to see...
- This was such a fun book! I read it to my fourth grade class, and they thoroughly enjoyed it! The illustrations are beautiful and the humor throughout is great! My students found a dead ladybug at recess after we read this, and a group of them decided to make their own "Drain Funeral" and wrote eulogies to go along with it. Love it!
